UNDERSTANDING PROBATE AND TRUST ADMINISTRATION

When someone passes away, settling the estate can be challenging.  Attorney Nancy Shue helps clients with probate and/or trust administration by methodically approaching, explaining, and completing each step.

Probate may be required when assets are held in an individual’s name at the time of death. Trust administration generally allows assets to be handled outside of court as long as the instructions in the trust document are being followed properly.

In both situations, proper administration helps ensure that debts are paid and the remaining assets are distributed in accordance with the law.

Nancy assists clients with:

  • Representation in probate proceedings
  • Administering trusts
  • Organizing and transferring estate assets
  • Addressing creditor claims and legal requirements
  • Supporting personal representatives and trustees through the process
